Singer Selena Gomez launches online mental health platform

Singer Selena Gomez has teamed up with Mandy Teefy, and Daniella Pierson, to launch a multimedia online platform to help people care for their mental health.

Wondermind, a free platform will provide expert-backed content, tools, resources, and exercises to help people work on their ‘mental fitness’.

The co-founders hope that the platform will encourage honest conversations, help shift mindsets and help overcome the stigma attached to mental health.

All three women have dealt with their own diagnoses and struggles with mental disorders, including Gomez’s bipolar diagnosis in 2020.

Gomez has often used her platform to advocate for important causes. Her Rare Impact Fund (part of her Rare Beauty Brand) has pledged to raise $100 million over the next decade to provide people with access to the resources to support their mental health.

Celebrities opening up about their issues can inspire others to be open about theirs, helping them to begin their journey towards better mental health.

“Putting your heart and soul out there, and being vulnerable and seeking help is one of the most terrifying things in the world, but requires so much courage and bravery,” – Selena Gomez
